  What about Thailand and play IGO ? well, reading this part will give us a few answers, as I talked with some Thai people and went to some shops. First of all, I would like to mention one of the places to play GO,

 GO in Thailand is growing, becoming more and more popular, lately in Universities you can see some people playing, in an organized club, other people walking by, are wondering what it is, and they follow the Thai custom of not being afraid to ask, to look and to be friendly, being informed thus about this game of GO.
  Surely, same as other countries, IGO ( WeiQi, Badook ) is spread a lot also due to the internet, play on internet is rather convenient, you can learn, teach or practice in an easy manner. So there are many people that are searching How to play IGO on internet, and hopefully everybody will have his own answer!

  Looking at the picture on the right side, we can see a set of GO game, in a simple Thai store, available for anyone, with a good price. Certainly, after passing the very beginner state, one has to have a wooden IGO board, for a deeper understanding of the whole meaning. Finding this set of IGO, just by walking into a book store, made me quite happy, understanding that the game is getting more popular, and let�s face it, if stores do not help by selling sets and information, and by advertising, the develop would be much slower ! Curiosity is a feature that needs not to be neglected, and here comes the advertising !


 

  If we think back in time, teaching IGO was made from Master to pupil, using also a lot of proverbs. Then, many schemes needed to be written, in order to facilitate teaching more students. Then books about Go appeared, containing information about players, history, problems, and then Joseki, theory and practice of IGO. But that �s not it, we can find Igo also in paintings, poetry and literature.
  As for the poetry is concerned, I would like to remind you about Senryu, the Japanese poetry similar to the most known Haiku, just that Senryu is not as strict regarded the content. Haiku needs a season related ..� link � needs questions and answers, problems and some solutions or effect. As for Senryu, same 3 lines, will describe not only a large image but can be also simple life situation, that �s why Igo was simply introduced in it. I will repeat the example that I quite like:

ì In the depths of the night, even the ceiling is a GO board. î

  In the case of literature, I would like to start with the Nobel price winner, Yasunari Kawabata, who wrote � The GO Master � and to add that Go in literature is not a rare thing, there are some Chinese novels that talk about war and life in direct comparison with GO.

  Then, because the main topic here is play IGO in Thailand, I took this picture. I would definitely like to let you know also the name of it, but firstly I will need to ask my wife the meaning of it.!

  But important is, that THESE things are AVAILABLE, making the development possible, and SURE, everybody that plays IGO, wants ..more players !
