Geta.

  Of course, we know Geta as a way to capture stroes, but in Go we can capture not only stones, but also other players. Speaking the language of Go, it is easy to make new friends, and it happens often, I still remember clearly the good times in Go-friend club. I shall talk today about another capure, starting Geta over the continents.
  Generally in Romanian Go there are not many players, so in ader to get better, many times we play on internet where we can find anytime all kinds of players, stronger, weaker, from any country. This way, one day I was playing onIine with another Romanian player, challenging in a Romanian tournament, ant suddenly I had to choose: to protect a bad Aji or I risk it to get a better result. The pleasures in Go are many times regarding these kind of decisions, which build a game. I chose to risk, and my opponent found a tesuji in that part, thus I lost the battIe. It happens many times, so I did not mind, then my opponent was happy about the victory. I didn't know who he was, and I didn't like his happiness, then finally I left the Internet a bit sad. Later I sent him an email, and talked about that tesuji,I found that he also liked Go a lot, and we started to play more often. When we didn't play, we sent emaiIs, and I shall write one here:
"hey, yesterday I thought about a new strategy, we can call it Zoom. Fight with opponent in one side, then turn to the other side, and built a wall, then continue the attack on the group."
  Thus we exchanged many strategy elements, two foreigners over the intemet, one in Romania, me in Japan, then later I started to go to Go-friend club, and Iearned more strategies, and techniques from Japanese friends. After about 6 month, I arrived in Romania, but I couldn't meet him to say hello, until we enrolled in a Romanian tournament. This tournament was 6 games, in 2 days, and after all this time of speaking the Go language on intemet, I met him, and exhanged presents, and continued to talk about Go. In the first day of tournament, I and my friend were the only players that won all 3 games, so the day we met for the first time was even more exciting. The second day in tournament was harder, I pIayed and won a game with 0.5 points against a veri strong player, in this game I put all I knew and learned from players in Go-friend, and all I Ieamed from books, am from my friend. In yose, we were fighting a Ko, and the score was close, but white had komi, then finally I made an uchikomi and got a Seki on his group.
  For me, life is like a Sea, with waves up and down, sometimes we are up, sometimes we are down, like a game of go, sometimes win, other times lose, and then again win. So in the tournament the 5ft game I lost it, so please remember my mistake: don't play tennuki if you can save your group. I lost also the last game, and finally, did not win the toumament. But I won so much more, a friend, a good experience, and a good game ..with 0.5 points.
